J I Case Company made and sold more steam engines than any other firm. All of these machines were produced and assembled at the company's factory in Racine, Wisconsin. Total production over nearly 50 years was roughly 36,000 steam engines.
The most-produced model of steam traction engine manufactured by J. I. Case was the 65 HP - approximately 8,300 units. Production of the 65 began in 1914 and continued until 1924 (the last year that Case made steam engines).
